More Artists Added to Lineup; Daily Tickets on Sale

The coolest wearable device you can give this holiday season is an Old Settler’s Music Festival wristband, and with discounted single-day wristbands on sale today, they’re priced to fit everyone. Hurry up, though, because only a limited number of discounted Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets will be sold. A limited quantity of early-bird packages also are available for the four-day festival, set for Thursday-Sunday, April 14-17, 2016, at the Salt Lick BBQ Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch, in Driftwood, just southwest of Austin. When the early bird quantities are sold out, we will move to the advance prices. Camping is sure to sell out again this year. Buy yours today!

The festival lineup just got even hotter with the addition of folk rock powerhouse Dawes, irreverent folkies The Milk Carton Kids, Americana acts The Jayhawks and, and beloved Austin artists Bob Schneider and the Band of Heathens. They join already-announced acts including bluegrass greats the Del McCoury Band, Jerry Douglas presents the Earls of Leicester, the Lonesome River Band, Della Mae and the HillBenders (performing their astounding bluegrass reinvention of the Who’s Tommy). Austin stars Shinyribs, Sarah Jarosz, Hayes Carll, Carolyn Wonderland and David Ramirez are also appearing, along with hot up-and-comers the Dustbowl Revival, the Accidentals and Houston’s The Suffers. More acts will be announced after the holidays.

Old Settler’s Music Festival fills four stages with 30+ top roots-music artists during four spring days in Texas’ lovely hill country. Once the scheduled music ends, impromptu campground jams sprout like April wildflowers, making for a singular experience that draws fans back year after year. And for the first time, the Discovery (workshop) stage will be presented by the Bluegrass Situation, the virtual and now actual roots-music community founded by actor/comedian/picker Ed Helms.
