Early bird packes go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, November 15, at www.oldsettlersmusicfest.org or call 888-512-SHOW. Remember Old Settler’s Music Festival is Thursday-Sunday, April 10-13, 2014, a week earlier than in past years.
At Old Settler’s, you’ll hear the fast rising duo of Shovels & Rope, whose music manages to be both sweet and raucous – sometimes at the same time! Mississippi country blues come alive with the hip-shaking music of the North Mississippi Allstars. High energy, funky soul takes the stage in the form of Robert Randolph and the Family Band. The herd will be in the house: Donna the Buffalo brings its self-proclaimed “herd” of fans wherever they go.
We’re proud to host bluegrass icon Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys on his Farewell Tour. Four amazing songwriters return to the stage: Tim O’Brien & Darrell Scott, John Fullbright, and Peter Rowan.
We haven’t seen The Gibson Brothers, in five years. Since then the band has won a slew of International Bluegrass Music Awards and is known as one of top names in bluegrass. Della Mae and Wood & Wire round out the returning group.
Kevin Russell’s Shinyribs makes its Old Settler’s debut this year! Plus rising stars: Lake Street Dive, The Deadly Gentlemen, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Lindi Ortega, Lily & Madeleine, and Humming House. Last year’s youth competition winner, Katy Kirby, also performs.
We hope this gives you a taste of what’s in store for you — with much more to come. Early bird packages go on sale at 10 am on Friday, November 15 at Frontgate Tickets, 1-888-512-SHOW, or by going to www.oldsettlersmusicfest.org. You can save as much as 23% off the gate prices. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at Early Bird prices, so get yours soon. Camping has sold out in the last few years — we expect it will again.
New this year: To increase the available space in the campground, there will be a $75 charge per RV (over 18 feet) or trailer (with more than one axle). That cost includes an electrical pass and water hookups.
This year we are strongly encouraging everyone to share rides to the festival. It’s good for the environment and good for the campground. We will have a ride share board on the website coming soon.
See you at the 27th Old Settler’s Music Festival!
